Local Universities put to the test on Social Media! 🤓

Once again this year, we took a close look at the social media profiles of Austrian universities and their presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms:

🥇 The Medical University of Vienna secured first place in the social media ranking for the first time, with the most interactions of any Austrian university in 2025.

😎 Also in the top 5 of the interaction ranking: the University of Vienna, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology, and Modul University Vienna. Congratulations to all!

📊 Compared to last year, local universities saw another increase in user interactions of +2.4%.

💬 Among platforms, Instagram plays the most important role, though TikTok is increasingly coming to the fore; with nearly 90 million users, visibility is clearly the focus here.
